I share the belief with community midwives, that based on the best available evidence, home should be the default choice of birth location for most people. I also respect and understand that there are times and reasons that families choose to birth in the hospital.
There are also times when home birth is no longer the safest option for the birthing parent or baby, and in those times I am extremely grateful for the valuable and lifesaving care that hospitals are able to provide.
It is an honor to support birthing families and my intention to provide options for families choosing to reclaim the historical tradition of birthing at home, with love, surrounded by family and trusted midwives.
