Supporting Profound & Powerful Birth Experiences, at Home.
Certified Professional Midwife
THE MIDWIVES MODEL OF CARE
The Midwives Model of Care is an entirely different approach to pregnancy and birth than institutionalized models of obstetrical care. Community midwives focus on providing nurturing hands-on care before, during and after birth.
These approaches are based on the knowledge that pregnancy and birth are fundamentally natural and normal processes. Birth is NOT an illness or an emergency.
The Midwives Model of Care includes:
o Observing the physical, psychological, social and spiritual well-being of the mother throughout the birthing year
o Providing birth education, holistic counseling and herbal support throughout the birthing year
o Providing nurturing, inclusive and autonomous prenatal care
o Minimizing technological interventions (and not so technological interventions) during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum
o Accurately identifying who may require obstetrical attention during pregnancy, birth and postpartum

Postpartum Care
LACTATION SUPPORT (CLC)
Certified Lactation Counselors provide breastfeeding counseling, education and support to families who are considering or planning on breastfeeding. We are here to answer questions and help you reach your breastfeeding goals while managing any difficulties or discomforts you experience during the course of breastfeeding.
POSTPARTUM BELLY BINDING
Postpartum Belly Binding assists with uterine involution (shrinking itself back to normal size and position in the pelvis). It is not the same as a waist trainer. Belly binding is most effective during the first two weeks postpartum and will continue to provide benefits through the first 40 days postpartum.
Postpartum Belly Binding helps to:
Support the uterus returning to size
Minimize postpartum bleeding
Provide after birth contraction relief
Provide posture support during breastfeeding
Reduced postpartum internal organ swelling
Encourage internal organs to return to their original place
Assist the correction of diastases recti (separation of abdominal muscles)
Provide the birthing person with a sense of security and “togetherness.”
PLACENTA ENCAPSULATION
Placenta encapsulation is the process of preparing the placenta for consumption by dehydrating, powdering, and placing it into capsules. We offer placenta capsules, tinctures and chocolates as well as cord keepsakes and framed placenta prints.
Placenta Consumption in the Postpartum may help with:
Milk Production
Hormone and Mood Stabilization
Pain Relief
Increasing Energy and Iron
Growth of Hair and Nails.
Placenta Tinctures may also be beneficial for:
your Teething Baby of 6 Months or Older
your Mother who is starting Menopause
your Daughter once she begins her first Menstrual Cycle
CESAREAN SCAR TISSUE REMEDIATION

POSTPARTUM DOULA
Our goal, as postpartum doulas, is to help you adjust to the many changes you may encounter with your new baby. It is our hope that with our support you and your new family will have the space to bond and flourish.
Each family has different needs that may change from day-to-day. As such each postpartum session provides a check-in of the parents’ last 24 hours, listening to concerns, holding the baby and can include anything that feels supportive inside the home.
